In 12 years of public school education and 4 years of undergraduate education, I have never felt as educated and enlightened as I have after just under 2 hours of watching this film. I had the great fortune of seeing the movie in the theater and had to view the DVD 3+ more times to process all the historical knowledge presented in this film. Beware, this film will lead you to seek more in depth information, so be prepared to spend extra time in your local library or doing your own research on the internet.

Great documentary. Black history is hidden, so we have to start digging, and this documentary is a great place to start. Watching this documentary, you will discover interesting facts. Facts such as how Black people from North Africa civilized Europe. Facts about how Black people established the first dynasties in Asia. The truth about I.Q and much more.

You might be already aware of many of these facts, but in this DVD it is consolidated and beautifully put together with images. One thing to remember is that this dvd doesn’t even touch on the pinnacle of Black history. You can’t fit Black history into a two hour dvd, so there will be more parts to come as the executive producer has said.

The scholars in this movie were great. Not only were they informative but also charismatic which made them exciting to listen too. One of them you need to look out for is Umar Johnson. This man seems to have the potential and the ambition to be the next great true Black leader.

This is a must have for every Black person. And anyone for that matter that wants to learn true history. Can’t wait for pt.2!
