LOS ANGELES, Today a “Justice for Trayvon” vigil was held on the streets of downtown Los Angeles in front of the Federal Building to press the federal government to investigate civil rights charges against George Zimmerman. This was part of the July 20th 100 City protest organized by Al Sharpton. The crowd was represented by the citizens of LA, clergy, TV and radio personalities,and activist. The “Stand Your Ground” law was one of the many subjects presented by the speakers. Many in the crowd feel that the law is a “Legal Lynching Law” and is interpreted by the court system in Florida as they see fit. Chants of “No Justice No Peace” rang through the crowd continuously.
