“The Dia Diaries” 2016 Beauty Trends: Go Nude

Beaty-1

Sleek hair, simple nails and “barely there” makeup has been dominating in the beauty world. With innumerable trends going in and out of style, the polished sleek look has maintained its stand in the day-to-day look-book.

Nails

We have definitely fallen in love with these new soft beauty looks from the “who’s who” of the otherwise flamboyant industry of nail color. Sheer nail polish provides many the liberation of having to dash to the salon to rectify a tiny chip of bold color. We’ve fallen in love with this relaxed movement, which has inadvertently landed on trend with our editor- who rocks her tousled hair, flush of pink on the lips, and breath of sheen on the nails.

Tip: Stick to one swipe for easy color pay-off and limited drying time. Bonus: This look doesn’t easily chip and is still quite nudeespecially at the base.

Hair

The hair of the season is distinct by limited product usage and has a late 60’s, early 70’s boho appeal. Air-dried hair with lots of movement while creating texture and a little bit of lift with the help of subtle products is the key! This season keep hair soft and femininewithout much effort. Add a dash of natural looking volume with curling wands with the ends straight creating a tease with the fingers. Now you know what Beyoncé did to ‘wake up FLAWLESS’!

The Face

Highlighting one feature or all over bare-make up, either way the hush-hush is defined by the non color or flesh color make up. This is all about breathable fresh looking skin that defines soft washes. Transparent foundation to softly diminish the freckles and a finger pat on the concealer is all you need for an effortless glow. A little dab of blush with the fingers again, on the cheeks, for a touch of color and try sticking to one tonal color burst on the eye lid or top the look off with natural lip shade or a fleshy color one.

Vola! The New Year has a new you in the most subtle yet glowing way!
