“The Dia Diaries” Festival Style: The Top 5 “Must Haves”

Outside of the gorgeous weather, Los Angeles is the home of one of the most popular festivals in the country…Coachella. Unlike other music festivals, Coachella created its very own fashion trend: Festival Style. The ultimate goal of the Festival Style is to look laidback with a high-end feel. This is a difficult trend to catch onto because of the unique elements that break the fashion rules, one being that it has no defined look. Pieces from the latest runway shows will be tweaked creating a casual, playful and comfortable look. This year designs were influenced by the 70’s, which will be a major player for this year’s Festival Style.

This season plan on searching for pieces with lots of fringe, tribal and floral prints, and jean material. To prepare you for the best festival style, we have chosen 5 pieces that you should not leave off your packing list.

Festival21. Jean Jumpsuit from Wildfox ($138.60)

Take the classic rolled up jeans and give them a modern twist like this jumpsuit. The thin straps and sweatheart neckline show the perfect amount of skin for a contemporary look.

Festival32. The bucket bag from Stela 9 ($149.00)

After you’re ready to go to the festival, you realize you need a bag to put your phone, wallet, and those important things called tickets. We are loving the bucket bag with its unique shape that you can amazingly fit everything in. Let’s not forget that it is a crossbody bag making it one less thing to worry about.

Festival4 copy3. Fringe Dress from Nasty Gal ($88.00)

Without a doubt, fringe dominated the runway this season. It gives an excellent blend of bohemian and western with a 70’s feel. Fringe posses a movement that is eye-catching when you dance, an attractive look to have at a music festival.

4. Patterned Kimono’s from H&M ($24.94)

A fashion line specifically for Coachella!? Almost too good to be true! H&M has surprised us with a line geared just for the fashionista’s going to Coachella.

Our favorite pieces are the loose fitting kimonos. With bold patterns and notable length, the kimonos are an easy piece to throw over a simple tee and jean shorts.

5. Metal Upper Arm Band by Free People ($28.00)

We have been eyeing those metallic temporary arm tattoos for a while now. In fact, we love them so much, why make them temporary? Arm bands have a simple yet edgy design that can make an ordinary outfit pop.
