Spring is the perfect time to revamp your hair and to help you out, we’ve gathered a list of spring hair trends from the runway and celebrities that we adore to get your creativity flowing for your new look!
Are you having a bad hair day? The effortless ‘’half-up half-down’’ look has made a huge comeback this spring with a slight twist. During Celine’s spring/summer 2015 show we saw this style with minimalist metallic hair accessories. It’s easy and it does not take a lot of time to create this look.
Another unchallenging look that is back this season is the wet hair look: The slicked-back style gives the illusion that you just stepped out of the shower. We spotted different interpretations on the runway by designers like Donna Karan and Alexander Wang. This style requires simply pulling hair straight back out of the face. By applying plenty of gel, wax, and hairspray, the hair will get the appearance of it being wet. After applying all of your hair products simply grab a hairbrush and brush it straight back and down. So if you ever leave home in a hurry without having time to blow dry your hair, this trend is totally for you!
The mid-length bob has become a staple this season. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley have all cut off their long locks for this look. The short healthy cut is a sophisticated look that is easy to style.
If you do not feel like cutting your hair into a new style this season, you can still do something different by changing the color of your hair. In the new season, lots of importance is given to natural hair tones. Natural hair colors were well praised at the shows of Chloe, Vera Wang, Valentino, and Chanel. If you are aiming for blonde, go for a honey blonde shade, golden blonde, or strawberry blonde. For brunettes, ditch the ombre! This season the overall color has a golden tint that slightly and subtly leads to lighter tips. To add warmth to any hair color, try your favorite shade of the auburn and red hair tones.
Not a huge fan of the natural shades this season? Another huge trend that a lot of celebrities endorsed over the past few months is platinum blonde. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, and Jared Leto all bleached their hair. Having bleached hair can also make it easier to apply “rainbow colors” to your hair such as pastels as spotted at Maxime Simoens, or a bright blue like Kylie Jenner. Do not worry about harming your hair, there are various ways to color hair without permanently damaging it. The trend that has recently emerged has been the use of hair chalk, which can be purchased at beauty supply stores and even at drugstores. It is easy to apply and the color can last a long time if you flat iron the colored areas.
