The show opened with a live band playing followed by several remarkable solos, livening up the crowd. The music came to an end as Emily Daccarett’s Fall/Winter collection walked the runway. The presentation was thoughtfully prepared opening with a mysterious love film that reflected nicely against her dark color scheme.

cervo3Daccarett collection appeared soon after with sophisticated garments that could appear in the womenswear market. The designer opted for beautiful black sheer that floated atop the models arms. Various necklines were used: high collars, jewels, and slits opening at the chest. The models wore their hair in intricate French braids, a perfect symbol to Daccarett’s French background.

Amren Tulano’s Fall collection closed the show by taking us through a journey of shocking blood reds transforming into light baby pinks. Tulano incorporated flowy skirts and tops paired with trench coats cut in a diagonal fashion. We loved the velvet crop tops, but even more when the back was exposed using only beads to clasp the top together.

The show put the earnings towards research for lupus. Events like these remind us why we create art, why we all gather together to support a single cause.
