2016 ReveLAtion LA Fashion Market Full Of Surprises

Pop-Ups, Panels, and Fashion Shows at ReveLAtion LA

ReveLAtion LA launched Nov. 5th  and 6th with a brand new series of fashion events running a party-style fashion market by day with pop-up shops, full bar and food and designer shows by night.

The 2-day event kicked off like no other with a special Q&A breakfast discussion by designer to the stars Michael Costello.

The ReveLAtion Market featured mega Pop-Up shops from major brands including Nicole Miller and Stussy and also the up and coming designers you can’t find anywhere else. Jewelry designer Nadiandlo showed her artistic eye not only in chokers, bracelets and rings, but also in her must-have layered necklaces. Vassari Boutique’s delicate jeweled pieces were instant favorites for the guests. ReveLAtion also brings in chic beach inspired swimsuits in bright summer colors by Santa Monica brand Tony Swimwear.

Plus a new collection of LA favorite trendsetters Foxbait full of new patterns and touchable fabrics. You can even accessorize your outfit with sleeves by Derivative Apparel. Sassy “Ready-Set-Go” wear by Oz and Otz showed Saturday and guests enjoyed gowns and dresses by Jaime Elyse and her new RTW line of basics including crops and tanks, Molly’s Clothing. Warrior by Naomi brought empowering jewelry designs to ReveLAtion Saturday. The brand’s namesake tanks and healing gemstones are a reminder to embrace your own Warrior spirit.

The Market was also full of brands that support incredible diverse causes including: Strong and inspired fitness apparel by evolve, tough enough to last and light to make you feel good, Ladera’s made in LA tees and tanks for men and women that go with everything and are too soft to let go, and stunning hand-dyed apparel by Fatim Bahh.  Inside the Market you could check out the unique designs by Mariely Pratts, Belle Neptune dresses and women’s ready-to-wear by San Fran based Jessie Liu. Sample sales were available by Sample Feen launching 2016.

SATURDAY DESIGNERS

The evening commenced to a roaring start with the first collection by Makany Marta’s. Influenced by her European heritage, her designs represent a multi-colored reality in all depths, celebrating the freedom of emotions and various traditions of her distinctive region. The collection captivated the crowd instantly with beautiful flowing dresses in stunning silhouettes, while sheer fabrics and plunging necklines spoke to the romantic femininity of the brand.

If music were tangible, it would be the Maggie Barry brand. The moment the first model stepped onto the runway, a surge of energy flooded the room. Runway lights illuminated garments to create a kaleidoscope of color that bounced off of every wall. Known for it’s bold designs, it comes as no surprise that celebs like Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga use Maggie Barry for their performance looks. The latest collection “Beach Club” dazzled with silvers, gold’s, and neon’s that brought the audience to instant an applause.

SUNDAY DESIGNERS

Zoan Ash Regal gowns and dresses ran a palate of deep greens pale gold’s and bright teals. This elegant collection featured dresses perfect for the seasons ahead. The short yet memorable collection was emboldened with impeccable detailing and fine fabrics.

 

A dose of dapper! Perry Jones II debuted a stellar collection that excited the crowd. His signature 3 piece tailored suits featured rich plaids with vibrant pops of color. The sophisticated and wearable designs brought a level of class to menswear redefining the fashion options for the modern gentlemen.

M the Movement returned to the runway with a powerful video that highlighted his journey as a designer. The models showcased his latest versatile designs in a collection that featured his iconic style of menswear jackets, pants and signature tees with pops of bright red and teal in soft leather jackets for men and women. The show featured celeb models Rapper Layzie Bone and Choreographer Shane Sparks.
